SOP: Sales Engineer

Sales Engineer SOP (Charlie) 

Objective: Drive technical sales solutions, support complex sales processes, and bridge the gap between technical capabilities and customer business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth technical product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.

  • Develop and deliver customized technical solutions that address specific client challenges.

  • Collaborate closely with sales team to understand client requirements and technical constraints.

  • Conduct comprehensive technical evaluations and proof-of-concept demonstrations.

  • Prepare detailed technical proposals, solution architectures, and implementation roadmaps.

  • Support pre-sales activities, including technical discovery calls and client consultations.

  • Assist in creating technical documentation, case studies, and product collateral.

  • Provide post-sales technical support and ensure successful client onboarding.

  • Maintain deep understanding of company's AI-powered PSA and automation solutions.

  • Continuously update technical knowledge of product capabilities and market trends.

  • Participate in product feedback loops and contribute to product development insights.

  • Develop and maintain strong technical credibility with potential and existing clients.

Technical Competencies:

  • Advanced understanding of AI technologies and business automation solutions

  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Proficiency in solution architecture and technical problem-solving

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions

Sales and Client Engagement Expectations:

  • Maintain a weekly pipeline of potential technical demonstrations

  • Participate in weekly sales team pipeline review meetings

  • Track and report on technical win rates and solution effectiveness

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key technical decision-makers in target organizations

Performance Metrics:

  • Number of successful technical demonstrations

  • Conversion rates of technical presentations to sales opportunities

  • Client satisfaction scores for technical solutions

  • Contribution to sales pipeline and revenue generation

Daily Tasks:

  • Review and prepare for scheduled client technical presentations

  • Update sales opportunity tracking system with technical insights

  • Respond to technical inquiries from sales team and potential clients

  • Collaborate with product development team on technical feedback and improvements

  • Conduct research on emerging technologies relevant to company's solutions

Continuous Learning:

  • Allocate minimum 2 hours per week to technical training and skill development

  • Stay updated on latest AI, CRM, and automation technology trends

  • Participate in internal and external technical workshops and conferences
